Honorable Judge Danielle Sherriff
Judge Danielle Sherriff-Judge Danielle A. Sherriff was appointed to the County Court bench in Palm Beach County in May 2023 and is currently assigned to the Civil Division. Prior to her appointment, Judge Sherriff was an attorney for the School District of Palm Beach County, where she devoted her practice to the defense of suits brought against the School Board related to premises liability, automobile negligence, and Title IX matters. Judge Sherriff was also a personal injury attorney with Lesser, Lesser, Landy & Smith, and an Assistant State Attorney in Palm Beach County for over 13 years. While at the State Attorney’s office, Judge Sherriff gained extensive trial experience, having tried over 100 jury and non-jury trials, most of which were felonies. She also served as Chief of the Traffic Homicide Unit where she supervised a team responsible for the prosecution of crimes such as DUI Manslaughter, Vehicular Homicide, and Leaving the Scene of a Crash Involving Death, in addition to other criminal traffic offenses. Prior to that role, she prosecuted a wide range of felony cases, including burglaries, robberies, sexual batteries, and attempted homicides.
Judge Sherriff has a strong commitment to the legal community and the community at large. She has served as President of the Palm Beach County Chapter of the Florida Association of Women Lawyers and as President of the F. Malcolm Cunningham, Sr. Bar Association. She is also an active member of several committees within the Palm Beach County Bar Association and the Florida Bar. Judge Sherriff also previously served as a mentor for both high school and law school students, and she regularly speaks at local schools in her efforts to help educate students about the law, ethics, and civics. She has served on several boards within the local community, such as Scholar Career Coaching, Family Promise Homeless Coalition, and the Women’s Foundation of Florida. Judge Sherriff was also a Commissioner for the Palm Beach County Commission on Ethics,
Originally from Queens, New York, Judge Sherriff moved to South Florida in high school. She earned her Juris Doctor from Florida State University College of Law and her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a minor in Political Science from Florida International University.
She is married to a local attorney, Eric Reichenberger, and they share two beautiful children; Maximilian (10 years old) and Kennedy Grace (4 years old).
