Sorraya Solages Jones

Sorraya M. Solages-Jones is an “AV Preeminent” appellate attorney with many years of experience. She presently serves as an Assistant Attorney General in the West Palm Beach Office of the Attorney General handling criminal appeals. Previously, Sorraya handled state and federal appeals in varied areas of law including products liability, medical malpractice, premises liability, personal injury, insurance, and commercial litigation matters. She also provided vital litigation support before, during, and after trial for complex and multi-million-dollar cases. Sorraya has worked at national and boutique firms as well as serving as a judicial clerk to the Honorable Robert M. Gross of the Fourth District Court of Appeal. Sorraya received her J.D. from Nova Southeastern University, where she served as Editor-in-Chief of the Nova Law Review, and her B.A. from the University of Central Florida.

Throughout her career, Sorraya has been devoted to the community at the local, state, and national levels. In addition to this wonderful organization, Sorraya presently serves on The Florida Bar’s Rules of General Practice and Judicial Administration Committee, the Palm Beach County Bar Association’s Appellate Practice Committee, and she is also a member of The Florida Bar’s Appellate Practice Section and the Craig S. Barnard American Inn of Court.

 Sorraya is a former President of the Dade County Bar Association Young Lawyers Section, former Director of the Dade County Bar Association, a former Eleventh Judicial Circuit Governor for the Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division Board of Governors, former Chair of the Florida Bar Journal/News Editorial Board, former Vice-Chair of the American Bar Association Young Lawyers Division Litigation Committee, former Vice-Director of the ABA YLD Diversity Team, and former member of the ABA YLD Credentials Board. Additionally, Sorraya has led and participated in programs benefitting the CHARLEE program, Children’s Home Society, Best Buddies as well as participating in the original PBC FAWL Breakfast and Books Mentoring Program.
