Elisha D. Roy
Equity Partner, Elisha D. Roy, is Board Certified in Marital & Family Law by the Florida Bar and the National Board of Trial Advocacy and is a Fellow of both the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and International Academy of Family Lawyers. Ms. Roy is a partner at the prestigious West Palm Beach law firm Sasser, Cestero & Roy, P.A., specializing in complex financial and child related case work.
Throughout her career, Ms. Roy has been active in both the local and state Bar Associations as well as a variety of voluntary national and international bar organizations. Ms. Roy is Past President of the Florida Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, Past Chair of the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar, and Past President of the Palm Beach Chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers. Ms. Roy is passionate about the law and how it affects the families she represents and as such has been very active in the legislative process over the past fifteen years and has been integral in changes that changed the face of family law in Florida, including revisions to parenting, alimony and child support.
Ms. Roy is a sought-after lecturer and author on a wide range of topics not just in Florida, but internationally and throughout the country. Ms. Roy continues to be active in her profession, serving in many leadership positions for the National Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and she currently serves as a Chair of the Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization and Education and is a member on Rules of Judicial Administration and General Practice for the Florida Bar.
Ms. Roy has been awarded for her hard work both in and out of the Court, recently receiving the Visionary Award from the Florida Bar Family Law Section. In her spare time, Ms. Roy loves spending time with her children and husband, is an avid Crossfitter, and loves hiking and outdoor activities.
