The Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County and the Palm Beach County Chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers are sponsoring a luncheon where attorneys will be trained in the area of Guardian Advocacy.
When a child turns 18, parents no longer have legal authority to make decisions on their behalf. Guardian Advocacy is one tool that can assist the caregiver of a disabled adult child in gaining legal authority to continue acting on their loved one’s behalf.
The training will provide attorneys with the knowledge and ability to file a Guardian Advocacy and represent their client in a Guardian Advocacy case from start to finish
All participants agree to accept one pro bono guardian advocacy case for an under-resourced caregiver in Palm Beach County. Pending approval for 1 general CLE credit.
Please RSVP to Kimberly Rommel-Em·ight, Esq. at [email protected] Space is limited to 20 participants so please RSVP as soon as possible.
