FAWL/PACE BREAKFAST & BOOKS CLUB
The PACE Center for Girls is a statewide organization that provides no-cost, voluntary services such as academics, counseling, life skills training, career and college preparation, and community service projects to adolescent girls. The PACE mission is to provide “girls and young women an opportunity for a better future through education, counseling, training, and advocacy.” The Palm Beach County Chapter of FAWL has a longstanding relationship with our local PACE Center. The mission and guiding principles of PACE are very much in line with the goals and values of FAWL and resonate with our members, who enthusiastically support the PACE program each year. The hallmark of this relationship is the Breakfast & Books Club, where members of our chapter meet monthly during the school year with the young women of PACE to discuss books chosen to interest and inspire the students.
We will be kicking off the new school year on October 25 with a discussion of Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon. Please join us at the PACE Center for Girls, 1225 D South Military Trail, West Palm Beach, Florida 33415, for a lively discussion about the book and an opportunity to meet the young women of PACE. We encourage newcomers to join us and you do not have to have read the book to participate. Breakfast will be provided. If you have any questions or would like more information about Breakfast & Books Club, please email Nichole Segal at [email protected].
